The ebrief or electronic brief is a legal industry term that describes two different electronic documents. The first is a hyperlinked version of a court filing -- usually a brief or motion. Most often, these electronic filings are submitted days or weeks after a paper filing. The second is a brief filed with the court in electronic form. Each has similarities insomuch as they are essentially hyperlinked pdf documents, however the first type -- the e-brief -- is often a rather complex document with links to tens of thousands of cites, exhibits, cases or other documents.
As part of the A2L Consulting “complete” trial solution we provide Electronic Briefs (ebriefs) that facilitate the presentation of legal arguments to the courts and clients. A2L digitally converts your paper or electronic brief into a paperless digital file that can be stored and viewed on a DVD, iPad, flash drive or portable hard drive. We handle all of the hyperlinking to case law, exhibits and other documents. You can rely on A2L for fast turnaround and accurate results -- after all, we recently produced what is believed to be the largest ebrief in history with 4,000 source pages, more than 60,000 hyperlinks and more than 5,000 cited documents.
Additional information about our ebrief production services and electronic briefs generally:
A2L Consulting ensures that all of your documents, exhibits, and case citations are hyper linked to your table of contents and table of authorities. The table of contents and table of authorities are also hyper linked to the specific pages. We even offer iPad compatible e-briefs.
A2L Consulting believes e-Briefs are emerging as a fundamental part of the litigation process since they allow your judge to view your brief in a more organized and user friendly manner. They also eliminate quite a bit of paper.
