Litigation Consulting Explained

When we founded our firm in 1995, our orginial goal was to be the leading animation firm for litigators at major law firms.  We achieved that.  In 1998, we set our sights on something different: becoming the premier litigation consulting firm to major law firms.

At the time, many asked, what is litigation consulting? In 1998, we defined litigation consulting as our team of consulting artists, attorneys and paralegals working with a trial team to help create litigation graphics.  Today, we define it more broadly.

Litigation Consulting is the service provided by a trial consulting firm that helps a trial team design, test and deliver a courtroom presentation.  To us, this includes our core service offerings of jury consulting, litigation graphics consulting and trial technology consulting.

To learn more about litigation consulting, we encourage you to subscribe to the wildly popular blog The Litigation Consulting Report.  Each week we post information that is valuable to litigators, in-house counsel and those offering litigation consulting services.

As more firms enter the litigation consulting space we first occupied in 1995, we see a pattern that many firms are using the term "litigation consulting."  As Wikipedia notes, "Since many cases are now settled out of court or decided by arbitration, some trial consulting firms have diversified to include mock mediation and arbitration sessions. This is also the reason that many jury/trial consultants are now referring to themselves as "litigation consultants."

Just as important, they did this under extreme time and quality pressure and, always, with a smile."
